Why God Created Us

We are created for His pleasure. But unless we fulfill the purpose God created us for we are in trouble and headed for more trouble. Think about what you would do if you tried to cook a tasty meal but it turned out bitter. You would throw it away. Think about what you would do if you made a piece of furniture but it fell apart. You would throw it away. That is rather like what God will do with people who do not fulfill His purposes for them. You would not be arrogant or selfish when you threw the things away that did not measure up. You owned them and you could do whatever you wanted with them.

Revelation 4:11: Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.

Colossians 1:16: For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:

Proverbs 16:4: The LORD hath made all things for himself: yea, even the wicked for the day of evil.

Amazingly one of the ways in which He gets pleasure is to give us the Kingdom and the multitude of blessings that go alone with it.

Luke 12:32: Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father*s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.

Jeremiah 29:11: For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

2 Peter 1:3: According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:

1 Timothy 6:17: Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;

Psalms 16:11: Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.

I would be remiss if I did not touch on the difficulties we encounter along with the blessings. The difficulties are temporary but the blessings are eternal.

Acts 14:22: Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.

2 Timothy 3:12: Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.

Romans 8:17: And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. 18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

2 Corinthians 4:17: For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;

Philippians 3:8: Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ,

Psalms 19:14: Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.
